Very often, riding stables do not feed hay accurately and usually too much.
This is often due to a misjudgement of the feed weight. The effects are often noticeable in undesirable weight gain of the horse and the unavoidable disposal of the feed in the dung heap.
Good hay as basic feed tends to become more and more expensive, and good quality hay more difficult to obtain. For these reasons, we recommend that hay is always fed in a carefully balanced way.
This enables you to better assess the horse's state of health and change the feeding concept in a controlled and verifiable manner.
